Tea Tribes Welfare Department successfully organized “Humder Moner Kotha” – an interactive session of the Hon’ble Chief Minister, Assam with the prominent persons of the Tea Tribes community on 30th August, 2021. The session discussed the problems and issues of the Tea Tribes community and provided a platform for the expression of ideas and suggestions from the intellectuals and leading citizens of the Tea Tribes community aimed at the all round development of the community from the grassroots level. Subsequently, 7 Sub-Committees of Humder Moner Kotha were formed on Health, Nutrition and Family Welfare, Education, Skill & Employment, Economic Empowerment, Art & Culture, Sports and Allotment of Land & Housing for the welfare of tea tribes community of Assam. And on 17^th October, 2022 these 7 Sub-Committees submitted their report and made a presentation before the Hon’ble Chief Minister, Assam. The Department has taken up the recommendations with the concerned departments.
